The Elspec Activar system is specifically designed to compensate for dynamic loads with high reactive power consumption in relatively stable loads such as commercial buildings, hospitals and data centers.  Our Activars are electronic switching devices designed to replace electromechanically switched equipment in power factor correction (PFC) systems. The Activar uses SCR-SCR (silicon-controlled rectifier) electronic switches and sophisticated control algorithms that consider true power factor (PF) and all harmonics up to and including the 63rd harmonic order. The Activar is utilized for slow variations of reactive energy demand.
